Authorize.net Extension Comparison

Authorize.net offers many different ways to use their service and WooCommerce supports all of them. We’ve compiled this comparison guide to help you decide which Authorize.net option is for you.

If you are doing Subscriptions you will want CIM, it is the only option that allows for recurring subscription billing.

If you want to keep customers on your site to enter their card details, this would require a SSL certificate which is the AIM option. If you do not want this, you can use DPM to redirect your customers to Authorize.net to input their credit card details, then be redirected back to your site once the transaction is complete. This is a secure way to take sensitive data off of your servers and onto theirs.

The AIM version also supports Authorize.net SIM and Authorize.net emulation.

WooCommerce supports using any Authorize.net extension in the following regions: US, Canada, EU, New Zealand, and Australia.

* The Credit Card information is added on your website for payment, it is then securely posted to Authorize.net servers and you are then automatically re-directed back. The DPM payment extension is acting like an onsite payment gateway but with less security requirements (i.e SSL certification)
